Wine means different things to different people. For us it's a part of life and for sharing with family, friends and acquaintances. More importantly it's about sharing over a meal or enjoying a glass with nibbles as you chat . Many wines these days are simply statements about themselves: "Hey, look at me". We want our wines to be drinkable, balanced and complementary to food, not showpieces in their own right. We never release any wine under the Route du Van label unless we have enjoyed it over a good meal. This is our simple test for good road trip wines!
2021 Yarra Valley Pinot Blanc
100% Pinot Blanc from the Northern foothills of the Yarra Valley. Hand-picked, fermentation and maturation in used French oak casks for 5 months.
TASTING NOTES
Aromas of citrus, cut pear, spice and pretty florals. Similar flavours on the palate. A fine and elegant wine with a fresh, crisp finish.
Alcohol 12.0%, pH3.21, TA 5.8g/l
