Wine means different things to different people. For us it's a part of life and for sharing with family, friends and acquaintances. More importantly it's about sharing over a meal or enjoying a glass with nibbles as you chat . Many wines these days are simply statements about themselves: "Hey, look at me". We want our wines to be drinkable, balanced and complementary to food, not showpieces in their own right. We never release any wine under the Route du Van label unless we have enjoyed it over a good meal. This is our simple test for good road trip wines!
2021 RdV Yarra Valley Pinot Gris
100% Pinot Gris from the Northern foothills of the Yarra Valley. Hand-picked and fermented in large used French oak casks and stainless steel.
TASTING NOTES
Gently fragrant with exotic Pinot Gris characters of pear, orange blossom and stone fruit. Textural, flavours of apple and mandarin, classic Pinot Gris style.
Alcohol 12.5%, pH3.26, TA 5.4g/l
